Estate No.99 Chardonnay from the 2007 vintage is an alluring, approachable take on one of Niagaraís Perennial Favourites. Both nose and palate show a fine balance and delicate interplay between softer notes of white peach and pear, and a lively backbone of zesty lemon citrus and complex minerality. Drinking well upon release, will improve and gain complexity for 3-4 years.

Our 2007 Merlot presents a fruit-forward style highlighted by aromas of blackberry and cherry. Rich, rounded palate and moderate tannins frame ripe berry fruit, finishing with mocha and oak spice. Drinking well now, and will evolve further in bottle over the next 2-3 years.

Ripe, concentrated flavours from harvested fruit imparted layers of pronounced tropical notes onto the grassy herbaceousness generally present in cool climate expressions of this varietal. Vinification was tailored to highlight and enhance this natural complexity by combining fermentation styles in order to create a textural experience mirroring the full-bodied profile of the grapes themselves.

All fruit for the 2006 Estate Series Shiraz/Cabernet had its roots in a single vineyard site from the St. David's Bench sub-appellation, an area of the Peninsula that has been developing a reputation as a powerhouse producer of consistently concentrated, highly complex red wines. Put to the test in a difficult year, St. David's Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon surpassed all expectations, providing a core of ripe, vibrant fruit and displaying the finesse, focus and elegance that characterize the best reds from this vintage.

Icewine is a rare miracle made from grapes harvested in the chill heart of a Niagara Peninsula winter. The fruit, with naturally concentrated sugar from months hanging on the vine, is pressed while still frozen, yielding small quantities of intensely flavoured juice. The resulting wine is elegant, sweet and refreshing, with complex nuances of apricot, mandarin orange, and honey n balanced by the grapesí natural acidity.

Estate No. 99 2006 Shiraz Icewine celebrates the diverse possibilities of this winemaking style. Complex and intriguing, the nose shows aromas of Rainier cherries, red delicious apples and apricot preserve enveloped in the honeyed perfume characteristic of Niagara icewine. Rich and luscious in the mouth; red plum, blood orange, and strawberry fruit mingle with cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
