Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic
I am thrilled and excited by the launch of this event, bringing the PGA Nationwide Tour back to Canada, to the beautiful Town of The Blue Mountains. With many of my friends from the sporting and entertainment communities participating in the tournament along with 160 professionals, I hope you had as much fun as we did.
Our two host courses – The Georgian Bay Club and The Raven at Lora Bay – were in top condition and provided an excellent challenge to both pros and amateurs alike. As an official PGA Nationwide Tour stop, players competed for one of the year's largest purses at $800,099 with all four rounds televised on The Golf Channel. And, as the top 25 players on the Nationwide Tour list graduating to the PGA Tour – we saw some very competitive golf being played.
With proceeds from the tournament benefiting the Wayne Gretzky Foundation, the impact will be felt far beyond the golf course.
